Teaching School
Millais School has become one of the first schools in England to be granted teaching school status, a new national designation entitling it to lead the training and development for staff across an alliance of schools and universities.
We see this as an excellent opportunity to work closely with other Outstanding Schools to lead the national agenda and share best practice. I think it is important to say though that first and foremost we will be focussed on sustaining and improving our own performance, namely raising the standards of achievement, the quality of teaching and learning and all facets of our provision. I personally believe this initiative can only enhance the quality of our professional practice to the benefit of all involved, including those schools who choose to work with us.
